Burial Services

There are several burial options: Traditional – the body is embalmed, viewing is available for family and friends, then there is a service at a church or the chapel, followed by a graveside. Graveside – this might be an option if the individual has outlived all of his/her peers and the crowd is expected to be small.  Beautiful spring or fall days with birds in the background can make for a very peaceful setting for a funeral. Direct Burial – when burial is the priority, no viewing, no service, just a simple committal of the body to the earth. As with any of the burial options, limousines can be requested, printed material, music, and other items of preference can be discussed. The Federal Trade Commission requires that all the goods and services be broken down by a funeral home and the family only pays for the services it requests.
