Boxwell Brothers Pricing
Boxwell Brothers strives to be transparent and simple in pricing. By law, we legally provide each family with a copy of our general price list upon each in-person inquiry, email request, or arrangement conference.
Our Pricing
The Federal Trade Commission regulates funeral homes and has established a series of rules called The Funeral Rule.
The Funeral Rule protects a consumer’s right to purchase funeral goods and services separately. The Funeral Rule requires every funeral home to have a General Price List. It is a written, itemized price list of all the items and services the funeral home offers. The General Price List will be your guide to comparing funeral costs in your area.
Burial Information
When families call to inquire about burial services, we explain that there are typically six main expenses to consider:
- Funeral home services
- Casket
- Outer burial container – required by most cemeteries (though some rural cemeteries may not require one)
- Cemetery plot
- Opening and closing of the grave – includes digging the grave and setting up a tent or equipment
- Cash outlays – additional expenses such as minister or musician honorariums, floral arrangements, obituary notices, police escorts, and certified death certificates from the state
Our team is here to walk you through each step and help you understand your options clearly and compassionately.
Traditional Boxwell Brothers Service
Our traditional service includes:
- Professional services of our funeral directors and staff
- Transportation of your loved one to the funeral home
- Embalming (if selected), for longer-term preservation and possible viewing (not required by law)
- Cosmetics, dressing, and casketing
- Use of our facilities for visitation or viewing
- Use of our chapel, or coordination of a church service with hearse transportation
- Graveside or committal service, including delivery of flowers
Total cost for these services: $5,330.00
We also offer a simple and dignified casket made from fiberboard for $1,395.00. It features a soft doeskin covering and meets nearly all weight standards.
We understand that funeral costs can add up quickly–often totaling close to $10,000 once all elements are included. That’s why we provide more than 40 casket options and are always available to help families find something that suits their preferences and budget.
When it comes to casket selection, families are welcome to take their time in the selection room and discuss options privately. We never stay in the room or apply pressure–our goal is for you to feel confident and at peace with your choice.

When someone passes away, we typically arrive at the hospital, hospice, or home within 30–45 minutes. Your loved one is then brought to our funeral home, where they remain safely with us until the cremation is complete.
