Born to and preceded in death by both his mother, Dorothy Maloney-Allison (Nana), and father, ArthurAllison (PaPaw). Eddie was born into a very loving family, and the love carries on through as the family continues to grow. Eddie was the second born child of two siblings. Arthur Gale is the oldest, and then nine years after Eddie was born came a sister, Renee. The boys didn’t know what to do with this new baby but they sure did fight over who got to cuddle next to her.
Survivors include a brother,Arthur Gale Allison, married to Mique Allison, of VanAlstyne, Texas. Their children are Jessica Allison-Blevins, married to Archie Blevins, and great nieces and nephews Jacob and Allison Weinzettel of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, Rebecca Allison-Duncan, married to Chad Duncan and great nieces and nephews Bryleigh and Jackson Duncan of Alstyne, Texas, Aaron Mechell and wife Shannon Mechell, and great nephews Cole, Cainan, Cade, and Cameron of Haslet, Texas.
He is also survived by a sister,Renee Allison-Briones married to Richard Briones, of McKinney Texas. Their children include Anthony, whopreceded Eddie in death.(Eddie loved him so much, and felt a piece of his heart had been lost when Anthony passed.) and Michael Briones and wife LeslieghBrionesand great nephews Jacob, Jason, and Anthony of McKinney Texas.
Eddie had two priorities in life: #1 God, and #2 was to share his love equally with every single piece of his family. Well he also liked Banana Pudding, and grilled hot dogs, football…….. You know what we mean.
Survived by his Children, Oldest-Scotty Allison, marriedAlyssa Allison, of Amarillo Texas. Scotty made Eddie a proudGrandPa when Alexis entered into his life. Alexis,of Austin, Texas is a very successful cosmetologist, and loves to “Make People Beautiful”, Shayce Allison, who is currently attending Texas State San Marcos and doing great in her studies, and Brantz Allison, who is pursuing his 6th grade education at GreenwaysElementary School learning all that you learn in 6th grade. We think GrandPa and Scotty taught him the priorities at this age are girls and football. (He has them both covered.)
Christee Allison-Jackson, married to Barron Jackson of Austin, Texas also made Eddie a proud GrandPa of three beautiful grandchildren. Unfortunately, he was preceded in death by Schuyler Allison and Emerald Allison. However, they did share some wonderful years together and there has never been a holiday, anniversary, or birthday pass that he didn’t take the time to celebrate the years they had together. He is also the proud GrandPa of Alexandra Allison, who he always said, “Just look how beautiful she gets every time I see her.”
Daniel Allison, married to Kiesha Hanggee-Allison of Amarillo, Texas, brought him two step-grandchildren that he loved as his very own, Jesse Hanggee, MarrissaHanggee, and one granddog Maximus Hanggee-Allison.
Daniel was previously married to Dana White-Hatchett and together they created trouble. Samantha Allison-Pohlmeier, married to Skyler Pohlmeier with two beautiful great-grandbabies,Caison Tate and Camdyn Duane, now making GrandPa a PawPaw. And Justin Allison, who has turned out to be a fine young man because of the teachings of both his father and GrandPa’s love, and patience for crazy teenagers.Because of the morals and values that were instilled to him by these men, Justin will carry them on to accomplish whatever God,GrandPa, and PaPaw have planned in his future. Dana and Jason Hatchett have also brought Michael Hatchett and Daithon Hatchett into Eddie’s life and you would never know they were not his own. His love is equal for all his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Holly Allison of Santa Barbara California is the youngest daughter of Eddie’s. She is very successful in the rescuing of abandoned or harmed animals and building up her own business. She is the one that taught GrandPa to feed the 15 stray cats in his backyard, and, let’s not forget the rooster. Holly has a heart of gold and blessed her dad with many granddogs, grandcats, and grandrabbits, grand-anything with four legs.
Robin Passmore was also a dear friend to Eddie and Nana and PaPaw, as she saw them through their terminal illnesses and ensured that their needs were taken care of. Robin’s grandson,Zayden, holds a very special place in GrandPa’s heart. When he was able, he would take Zayden to special appointments and again, treat him and love him as his very own. For those of you who know Zayden, we know Eddie, will not only be looking down upon us,but Zayden will now have a special guardian angel on his shoulder, handpicked by God himself.
Eddie was a loving man, enjoyed football, fishing, time at the lake, time with family, and holidays. He had many names, Ed, Eddie, brother, BoBo, Dad, Grandpa,GP, Old Man, Pops, little brother etc. but no matter what you called him, he loved you and still loves you as he lives on in our hearts and sits on your shoulder guarding us as he did here on earth. We love you Eddie!
Eddie’s wishes were to be cremated and a private memorial for his family and closest of friends that will take place this Sunday at his eldest son’s home. The family also wishes that all memorials be sent to BSA Hospital MICU floor to the wonderful nursing staff that not only took care of Eddie during these trying times but also the family that has suffered such a great loss.
