He was the first of two boys born to Fred and Virgie Clower. Dahl was born April 19, 1941 in Paducah. Home was Matador where he lived until the family moved to Plainview where he graduated from high school and later graduated from WTAMU in Canyon in 1968. He was a devoted husband and father.
He retired from a division of Bristol Myers Squibb after 26 years. Dahl loved going back to Matador where his whole family lived and farmed. Family reunions were a favorite event, never missing one.
Friends were many — his coffee drinking buddies in Amarillo and Matador meant so much to him. He loved nothing better than visiting with his friends; Roger Arnold, the Kubota and Firestone guys, just to name a few; wheeling and dealing on land and pickups were his hobby.
He loved his wife, children and grandchildren with all his heart. Family always came first.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Treva; his mother and father; many aunts and uncles; all were dear to him.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Delores; two sons, Kevin and wife Barbara, Dyron and wife Monti; seven grandchildren, Chase, Jordan, Jennifer and husband Jose, Caleb, Jadon, Isaac and Noah; and a brother, Dwight Clower and wife Krista; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday prior to the memorial service.
The family suggests memorials be to Motley County Senior Citizens, 625 Stewart St, Matador, TX 79244.
