Walter Paul Patzt, 95, of Dumas, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. (MST) on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Logan Cemetery in Logan, New Mexico. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Walter was born in Germany to Paul and Erna Patzt. He served in the German Air Force during WWII. He was a POW in England. He had worked as a butcher for over 28 years for Swift. He had also worked as a janitor for ENMR. He was a talented magician and tailor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gisela Patzt.
He is survived by two sons, Peter Patzt and wife Anna of Dumas, Gary Patzt and wife Lanett of Dumas; five grandchildren, Crystal Cloud, Kasinda Conde, Adrian Patzt, April Ward, and Randy Patzt; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
