Valentin Sandoval Carrasco, 61, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 25, 2012.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Carrasco was born on February 24, 1951 in La Mula Ojinaga, Chihuahua to Manuel and Patrocinia Carrasco. He worked for thirty-five years in construction for Gilvin-Terrill.
Survivors include his wife, Elva Carrasco of Amarillo; two sons, John Paul Carrasco of Las Vegas, Nevada and Valentin Carrasco of Amarillo; two daughters, Sylvia Macias and Veronica Sanchez, both of Amarillo; three brothers, Simon Carrasco of Chihuahua, Mexico, Manuel Carrasco and Leandro Carrasco, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Trinidad Lujan of El Paso, Texas and Paulina Tarwater of Juarez, Mexico and five grandchildren.
