S.C. “Bud” Selby, 83, of Amarillo died Thursday, October 18, 2018.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at San Jacinto Assembly of God with Bryan Vallance officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Bud was born November 5, 1934, in Shamrock to Coleman and Stella Selby. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Bud worked for Pantex for more than 40 years. He married Margarette Moore in 1953. She preceded him in death in 1998. He later married Wanda Henley on April 3, 1999.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, bowling, golfing and archery. Bud was a member of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and his favorite saying was “God is in control”.
He also was preceded in death by a grandson, Samuel Smiddy.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Selby, of Amarillo; his children, Deborah Davis and husband Benjie and Jerry Selby and wife Kelly, all of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Christine Buckingham and husband David, of Nashville, TN; a stepson, Bryan Darrell Henley and wife Amanda, of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, William, Brandon, Jennifer, Meredith, David and Rebecca; 7 great-grandchildren, Maeve, Alee, Brandon Lee, Teagan, Cayla, Lexi, and Ryan.
The family suggests memorials be to Pleasant Valley Assembly of God for Mission Work.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2018, at the funeral home.
