Rosella Padilla, 71, of Amarillo died Sunday, November 11, 2018.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Msgr. Harold Waldow as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Rosella was born June 14, 1947, in Clayton, New Mexico to Abe and Pauline Montoya. She was a teacher’s assistant and bilingual teacher for Amarillo ISD.
She was preceded in death by parents, Pauline “Granny” and “Grandpo” Abe Montoya; a sister, Trisa Montoya; and a brother, Abie Montoya.
Survivors include her husband of 51years, Jake Padilla; her children and their spouses, daughter, Kaye Meza and husband Ryan, daughter Paula Pereira and husband Rob, son, Michael Padilla and wife Dawn, and daughter Jackie Padilla. She was Nana to her grandchildren, Brieanne Estrada and husband Sammy, Jory Dunavin, Julian Davis, Skylar Moseley and girlfriend Kambri Smith, Sienna Gonzales and husband Trever, Jacob Padilla, Nick Meza, Elysia Almazan and fiance Augustine Montes, Mikah Padilla, Makayla Almazan and fiance Isaac Diaz, RJ Almazan, and Olivia Pereira; and her great-grandchildren, Zhane Estrada, Cree Moseley, Ulianna Diaz, Amaliya Montes, Taos Moseley, and Everleigh Gonzales.
