Margaret Marie Coulson, 95, of Dumas, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel with Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will be in Texline Cemetery in Texline. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.
Margaret was born Dec. 4, 1917, in St. Charles, MO to Theodore and Maggie Wehmeier. She was the first daughter born after five sons.
Margaret married Cecil Bowling in Clayton, NM in 1937. They made their home in Dumas. Cecil preceded her in death in 1943. She married Frank Coulson in 1946, making their home in Texline where she was active in the VFW because her three brothers and Mr. Coulson served in the Army and Navy during World War II. Mr. Coulson preceded her in death in 1985.
She was a member of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years and also a member of the First Baptist Church of Dumas.
Sometime around 1993, Margaret moved to Dumas to be with her daughter and family.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Coulson; five brothers; and a grandson.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Daves and husband Dale of Dumas; two stepdaughters, Jo Chavez of Las Lunas, NM and Sue Phillips of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter-in-law, Carol Anderson and husband Norman of Omaha, NE; a sister, Viola Bangs of Ulysses, KS; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will be from Noon – 8:00 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home.
