Mac Stockett, 87, of Claude, died Sunday, August 26, 2018.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in Claude Cemetery with Bunk Skelton officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Claude, 200 Parks.

Mr. Stockett was born September 9, 1930, in Wayside, Texas to John and Macie Stockett. He was an owner and had served on the board of directors at Tulia Feedlot for many years.  He loved to farm and ranch and spent his entire life in Armstrong County.

He married Bettie Cocanougher on April 30, 1955, in Hereford, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Stockett; a son, Lee Stockett; and a grandson, John Stockett.

He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Stockett of Amarillo and Susan Stockett of Goodnight; two sons, Wes Stockett and wife Jodie of Claude and Jeff Stockett and wife Krista of Canby, Oregon; nine grandchildren, Courtney Bennett and husband Teal, Sarah Lookingbill, Hayley Lookingbill, Vanna Herring, Jessika Stockett, Samuel Stockett, Eli Stockett, Luke Stockett and Jessica Stockett; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Claude Chapel.

The family suggests memorials be to the Armstrong County Volunteer Fire Dept.

    Will be missed. Enjoy working for Mac while with for John Deere. Sorry for you lost.
