Lena Belle Keller Cassetty, 91, of Vega, Texas died August 15, 2018.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Vega, Texas with Pastor Matt Crawford officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega, 110 Main.

Mrs. Cassetty married George Cassetty in 1948, in Richardson, Texas.  George always said, “She was the Betty Boop of Grayson County”.  He was always proud of the fact that she became his wife.  She lived in the Vega area since 1953, and loved living on the farm, raising a garden, canning, cooking big meals from scratch and keeping her home clean and organized.  She also enjoyed music, dancing, playing poker, dominoes and “42” with life-long friends.  She was a very loving wife and mother and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Vega for many years.  She also was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vega.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Cassetty; her parents, Leo and Addie Keller; her brother, Luther Keller; and a son, Calvin Jacobs.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Cassetty and wife Debbie, of Garland, Texas and Tony Cassetty, of Vega, Texas, and one daughter, Pat Green and husband Tom Henry, of Vega, Texas.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Anna Griffin, Rex Green, Jill Bratovich, and Steve Cassetty, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Paxton Green, Gatlin Green, Mia Green, Gage Griffin, Sienna Griffin, Kaylee Bratovich, and Ian Bratovich.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial to First Baptist Church, Box 414, Vega, Texas 79092.

    Lena holds a special place in my heart. Her laugh was contagious. Condolences to Pat,Larry,Tony,and all of the family.

    Lena was a special lady. The time I spent at her home, lake and other places with her are some of my happiest memories. Love her and her family.
