Lamoine Rhea Moore, 72, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Lenny McKay, associate pastor at Washington Avenue Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, in the Hope Cemetery in Henrietta. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Lamoine was born July 31, 1941, in Wichita Falls to Willa Mae Bland and Windell William Hobbs. She was a member of Alpha Phi sorority at Midwestern. Lamoine married Donald Ray Moore on Aug. 25, 1961, in Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1993.
Lamoine took pleasure in attending all sporting events her sons took place in and tried to attend all events of her grandkids. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends on the last Thursday of the month. She loved celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family, reading books, watching movies and television shows, especially Law & Order. Lamoine also loved to watch the Rangers and Yankees baseball and Longhorn football was the best!
Survivors include two sons, Greg Moore and wife Michelle and Steve Moore and wife Cathy, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Megan, Logan, Macy, Elizabeth and Crew; a sister, Darla Pepper and her husband Mickey of Midland; a niece and nephew, Angela and Chris, both of Midland.
The family suggests memorials be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society Panhandle Chapter, 6222 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX 79109.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the funeral home.
