Kyle was preceded in death by grandfather, Manuel Stone; grandfather, Willis Ponds; Uncle, Walter Ponds; grandfather Wayne Craig; and grandmother Norma Ponds.

Survivors include his daughter Klair Madison Stone, of Canyon; his mother and step father, Tammy Craig and husband Pat, of Claude; his father and stepmother, Ricky Stone and wife Elva, of Morton; five brothers, Chad Garvey and wife Lesley, Jarrod Stone and wife Kayla, Cody Cook, Cody Craig all of Amarillo and Justin Craig, of Nolanville; a sister Ashley Leonard and husband Chad of Amarillo, his two grandmothers, Susie Paiz of Hobbs, NM and June Craig of Oklahoma City; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that memorials be made to a benefit fund set up for Klair Madison Stone at Amarillo National Bank.

Kyle was one of those people that left a positive impression in my life. He was so talented and driven professionally and very considerate personally. He was a special guy with a great future. I’ll hold on to memories of time spent with Kyle and Ashley showing me around Amarillo and getting together Dallas. I will miss them both. God Bless all their family and friends.

I am still at such a loss, your family has been on my mind constantly since I got the terrible news. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. And my world is a little dimmer without your kind heart and smiling face. God bless you my friend.

I’ve tried to write this a thousand times. While there are little words during a time like this, there is a great amount of prayer. Kyle and I both believed in the power of prayer and God’s word. I pray that God will comfort and give a peace that surpasses all understanding to the friends and family members that are hurting. I love each and everyone of you guys very deeply. Kyle will be greatly missed for his prize winning smile, laugh, kind heart, jokes, being the life of every party, giving to others in need, and always asking, “Did you make it to Church this morning?” when you most likely didn’t. However Kyle could recite the sermon. I love you guys and will hold you very near to my heart.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Although we never met Kyle, his picture speaks a thousand words. We are praying that you stay strong in your faith and know that God will help you through this difficult time. God Bless you Tammy and all your family and we will keep Klair in prayer. As hard as it is, Kyle is home now and as a result, you have your angel watching over all of you.

The grief of the sudden passing of Ashley and Kyle is almost insurmountable. I remember so vividly the “boys” Sunday School class with Kyle, Jerrod, Cody and the rest. Kyle was a special young man, more sensitive than most realized and like my own son. I loved when he would call and always say “I love you Pastor Joe”. Kyle was not perfect but he knew Jesus. I can assure you of that. We spent many hours together praying and talking about Jesus. Kyle knew Jesus! He is now running the golden streets of heaven with Granny chasing after him. I love you Kyle. I will miss you forever, till we meet again.

Kyle installed a brand new heating and air conditioning system for us just three months ago. He was a delight. He was conciencious and courteous at all times. He always was neat and tidy, except when he went up into the attic when it was quite warm. I was telling him how sorry I was that he had to go up there when it was so hot, but he said, that is part of my job.
We were so sadden to hear about him and wish his family warm thoughts and prayers for your loss. We feel like we lost a friend even though we knew him briefly.
