Kevin Dale Popplewell, 42, of Amarillo died on Monday, June 18, 2012.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Billy Kersh, pastor of children’s ministries at Washington Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Kevin was born on October 12, 1969 in Amarillo to Ronald and Louise Popplewell. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1988. Kevin married Donna Vick on August 31, 1991 in Amarillo. He had worked for Kroozers Automotive for over eighteen years and he loved to pitch washers and play volleyball.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Popplewell; a son, Trey Popplewell and two daughters, Haley and Morgan Popplewell, all of the home; his parents, Ron and Louise Popplewell of Howardwick; his grandmother, Goldie Smyth of Atchison, Kansas; two brothers, Ronnie Popplewell and wife Ginger of Tallassee, Alabama and Sammy Popplewell of Oklahoma City; his twin sister, Karen Pybus and husband Ray of Jacksonville, Florida; many nieces, nephews, special friends and his three dogs, Samson, Scout and Jacqueline.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
