Juanita Nadine Van Hoy Jones, of Amarillo, Texas formerly of Perryton, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2018, at Ware Memorial Care Center.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm., Monday, November 19, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel in Amarillo, Texas. Private burial will follow at Llano Cemetery here in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Nadine was born on August 30, 1930, in Vancouver, Washington to Franklin Roosevelt Van Hoy and Lillian Vera Bevans Van Hoy. She attended high school at Pasco High School in Pasco, Washington. On July 23, 1949, she married her husband of 68 years, Chuddie Jean Jones of Pasco, Washington. Nadine was a housewife and mother who was devoted to her children, and later her grandchildren. She spent most of her time with family as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to travel with her favorite destination being Hawaii. She leaves a legacy full of great memories and love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuddie Jean Jones, Sr., her brother Phillip David Van Hoy, her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Van Hoy and Lillian Vera Bevans Van Hoy, and step-granddaughter Ginger Volk.
Nadine is survived by a son, Chuddie Jean Jones, Jr. and wife Patricia, of Anna, Texas; a daughter, Melissa Lynn Rodriguez and husband Nick, of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Brad Jones and wife Jamie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mallory Means and husband David of Allen, Texas, Kelsey Jones, of Houston, Texas, Magen Hyde and husband Derek, of Amarillo and Brooke Hardy of Amarillo; five step-grandchildren Michael Rodriguez, Nickolas Rodriguez, Christian Rodriguez, Aaron Menard, and Kari Menard, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the High Plains Food Bank in Amarillo, Texas.
