Jerrie Laureice Musick, 68, of Amarillo died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Paul Camp, minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Musick was born Feb. 18, 1944, in Clarendon to William C. “Dub” and Billie Mae Rexrode. She was married for 45 years to the love of her life, Larry Musick, and was the doting mother of her two sons, Todd Musick of Austin, and Cory Musick of Amarillo. She passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society; a former docent for the Amarillo Museum of Art; and was very active in Little League and high school booster clubs for her sons as they grew up. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. She attended Church of Christ at The Colonies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Rodney Rexrode; and her father-in-law, T.B. Musick.
Survivors include her husband, Larry of Amarillo; two sons, Todd of Austin and Cory and wife Stephanie of Amarillo; mother-in-law, Freda Musick of Amarillo; brother-in-law, Chuck Musick and wife Monica of Amarillo; two additional sisters-in-law, Ninell Splawn of Wichita Falls and Luana Rexrode of Amarillo; three nephews, Bill Rexrode and wife Suzannah and family of Bushland, Charley Musick and wife Christi and family of Amarillo, and Blase Musick stationed at Barksdale AFB; five nieces, Susan Humphrey and husband Kevin of Cedar Park, Leslie Miller and husband Steve and family of Bangs, Jessica Hale and husband Sonny and family of Bushland, Missy Musick of Amarillo and Breann Musick of Lubbock.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or the Amarillo Museum of Art, 2200 S Van Buren St, Amarillo, TX 79109.
