Elsie Mae Packer Cravens – October 16, 2017

Elsie Mae Packer Cravens, of Amarillo, died Monday, October 16, 2017, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 pm, Saturday October 21, 2017, at Beacon Baptist Church, 417 S. McMasters, Amarillo,TX with Brother Curtis Redmond, officiating.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Elsie was born September 30, 1937, in Lower Peachtree, Alabama.  She was a loving and kind Christian lady that believed in and worshipped the Lord faithfully.  She enjoyed spending time with her kids and especially her grand and great grand babies.  She nurtured and cared deeply for her grand babies. She enjoyed shopping, relaxing by the lake fishing and watching soap operas and the Hallmark channel. She was one of the best cooks ever and known famously for her sweet potatoe pies. She was truly a great and loyal friend to many and willing to help others whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her father and her mother, James and Ardella Campbell; four children, Peggy Ann Packer, Mildred Diannia Packer, Esther James Packer, Jeffrey Michael Packer;  three grandchildren, Kim-Jade Ngocole Packer, Ngoc Shane Packer, Joshua Packer; and six brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her children,  Gleno Saul Packer and wife Hazel Packer, of Midland, TX; Rosezetta Packer and Rochelle Packer, both of Amarillo, TX; and eight grandchildren, Gleno Saul Packer Jr, Christopher Packer, Jermaine Packer and wife Jennifer Packer, Quinton Shawn Packer, Cierra McElreath, Camara McElreath, Kionnia Moore and Darius Packer; eight great-grandchildren, Xavier Wheeler, Mai-Lynn Cruz, Nevaeh Taylor, Juwon Packer, Jalen Packer, Jeremiah Packer, Kailani Packer and Kira Diannia Packer; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

    I used to deliver Elsie’s mail years ago, her and her son Glen were such blessings to me. They always had smiles for me.
