Edilia Cardona Sifuentez, 89, of Amarillo died Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2018, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez as celebrant. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Edilia was born September 7, 1929, in Asherton, Texas to Faustino and Ruperta Cardona. She loved to do word searches, crochet, cook and garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Fermin Sifuentez, Jr., and Danny Sifuentez; a grandson, Faustino Sifuentez; and her husband Fermin Sifuentez, Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Biolanda Castillo, and Ophelia Silva and husband Gilbert; four sons, George Sifuentez, Oscar Sifuentez, Albert Sifuentez, and Christopher Sifuentez; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind two special friends, Angie Montano and Caela Escoto.
