Earline Gilmore, 86, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church with Dr. Stan Cosby officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Earline was born on May 31, 1927 in Clarendon to Rev. Hubert and Carmen Thomson. She often played the piano and accordion for many of her father’s revivals. Earline graduated as salutatorian from Wellington High School. She married Earl H. Gilmore on August 23, 1946 with her father conducting the service at the First Methodist Church in Canyon. She was a long time member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church.
Her main interests were church and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Glenn, Carlton, and James Thomson.
Earline is survived by her husband, Earl Gilmore of Amarillo; a daughter, Dianne Harris of Lubbock; a son, Steven Gilmore of Amarillo; a sister, Betty Cosby of Canyon; and two grandsons, Shelley Harris and Cary Harris, both of Lubbock.
