Debbie Kay Herring, 45, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Salvation Army Chapel, 2101 S. Van Buren, with Major Harvey Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Debbie was born Nov. 9, 1966, in Amarillo to Gene and Diana Oakley. She had worked at Salvation Army as a social worker for the past 5 years. She loved helping others.
Survivors include her husband, James Herring, of Amarillo; two sons, William Tucker and fiancée Annelies, Christopher Tucker and wife Mae, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Carley Tucker and Courtney Tucker, both of Amarillo; a brother, Greg Oakley of Mineral Wells; two sisters, Jeannie Bettis and husband William of Lipan and Sheri Taylor of Dallas; her father, Gene Oakley of Walcott; her mother, Diana Jones of Weatherford; and two grandchildren, Kayana Tucker and Anthony Tucker.
