Cloyce Jones, 82, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012.
Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in Llano Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. Howard K. Batson, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Jones was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Ralls to Grady and Beulah Reese. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1948. She married B.R. Jones on April 13, 1949, who preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2007. Mrs. Jones owned and operated multiple businesses.
She was an active member in Beta Sigma Phi for more than 60 years and was a bowler for 50 years. She was very artistic and made ceramics and was a member of a doll club. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Reese.
Survivors include her daughter, Glenna Canada of Amarillo; a son, Steven Jones of Amarillo; a grandson, Robert D. Jones and wife Paige of Amarillo; an aunt, Glenna Forbes of Brownfield; two great-grandsons, Luke and Maddox Jones of Amarillo; a brother, Bill Reese and wife JoDella of Valley Mills; a special caregiver, Mary Horn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
