Amarillo resident, Brenda Jean Brittain-Henrikson, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 after a long bout with cancer.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Nelson Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
She was born on March 2, 1960 in Arlington, Texas to Gene and Pauline Boatman. She had lived in Amarillo with her husband, Eric, since 2007.
She and Eric met in Oklahoma and enjoyed riding Harley motorcycles. Brenda loved gardening, many years of waitressing, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and posting inspirational scriptures daily because of her strong faith. She was an inspiration to all those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ricky Lynn Bumgarner.
She is survived by her husband, Eric Henrikson; her son, Josh Engelhaupt and his wife Carol; her daughter, Ashley Tate and her husband Loyd; her stepson, Eric Henrikson, Jr. and his wife Kelsey; sisters, Patsy Gayle Copestick and husband Wayne Skartwit, of Graham, TX; Donna Boatman of Mineral Wells; Marsha Campbell of Lindale, TX; and Regina James of Brazos, TX; a brother, Ralph Glenn Bumgarner of Florida; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Shala, Madisyn, Kynlee, Bo, and Bronx; two great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Birdie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
