Bodil "Bo" Blackburn Bradley – March 13, 2018

Bodil “Bo” Blackburn Bradley, 88, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Bo was born July 6, 1929, in Evant, Texas to Chester and Ora Lee Blackburn.  She went to school in Evant and when the family moved to Spearman, while Bo was in high school, she began attending and later graduated from Spearman High School.
Most of her life, Bo was a legal secretary.  She had a passion for redecorating and remodeling homes and owned and operated Blackburn Flowers in Spearman.  She has lived in Amarillo, Hereford, and Canyon for the past 25 years.  Bo was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo and in Spearman over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Lee Blackburn and J.E. Blackburn.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Ownbey and husband Jimmie, of Vinita, Oklahoma and Lisa Popejoy and husband Rocky, of Amarillo; a son, Joe Hutchison and wife Judy, of Pampa, Texas; a sister, Elaine Cessnun, of Soldotna, Alaska; a brother, Bill Blackburn, of Llano, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Spearman Community Fund, PO Box 639, Spearman, Texas 79081; Heal the City, 609 S Carolina St., Amarillo, TX 79106; or High Plains Food Bank, 815 Ross Street, Amarillo, TX 79102.

    Bo was one of my very closest and dearest friends. Our friendship has spanned many decades and countless adventures!! She has brought much joy to my life and I will miss her forever. Thank you, Bo…I love you with all my heart. May eternal peace be yours and may God hold your family with the loving comfort only He can give. What a loss for us…what a gift for Heaven!!

    What an energetic and vibrant women. I remember her as fun and loving with a great family. Prayers for her family as she will be missed.
