William Dean Brain – May 27, 2011

William Dean Brain, 61, of Amarillo, died Friday, May 27, 2011.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd with David Preston, Minister of Missions of Paramount Baptist Church officiating.
Mr. Brain was born on April 15, 1950 in Borger, Texas to Margaret and L. E. Brain.  He graduated from Phillips High School and then Amarillo College.  He worked at Huber Oil Industry for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Brain.
Mr. Brain is survived by three daughters, Melissa Miers and husband Marcus; Megan Nord and husband Aaron, all of Amarillo; and Kristen Dossett and husband Jack of Katy, TX; one brother, Allen Brain and wife Mary of Amarillo; and two grandsons, Duncan Miers and Barrett Nord.
The family suggests memorials to Odyssey Hospice, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.

  1. Dean was a dear friend to me. He will be missed. It didnt matter how he was feeling, he was allways upbeat and enjoyable to be around. I think god for his friendship. It is regrettable I was not there at the end. I had seen him the day before I think. I know he loved his family because he would talk to me about them. Megan If there is anything I can do for you let me know.

  2. Dean was a great guy and I will miss him. I am sorry I didn’t see him more. God loves him. I know that.

  3. I will never forget all the great times we shared in our younger days down at the big hole. Dean was such a great person. I regret we weren’t able to stay in touch through the years.

  4. Dean was a very special person. He was quick to laugh and quicker to make you laugh. I will miss him dearly.
