Wilda Rose Atchley, 89, of Amarillo, TX died Saturday, February 15, 2020.

Burial will be at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Llano Cemetery. Memorial services will be a 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Comanche Trail Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Mrs. Atchley was born in Greer County, Oklahoma on April 21, 1930 to Myrtie and Ellis McClure. She married Randall Atchley on November 5, 1949. They moved to Amarillo where they started a family and she became a full-time homemaker. Mrs. Atchley was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. Attending East Amarillo Church of Christ and then Comanche Trail Church of Christ.

Mrs. Atchley loved to play games, cook, and sew. She spent her life serving her family and others. She fried the best chicken you ever had, and her cherry cobbler was amazing. She did not know how to make “just a little” and could feed an army on any given day. It was your fault if you ever left hungry.

She is preceded in death by her mother; two sisters; husband; and a grandson.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary Fewell; sons, Steve Atchley and wife Mary, Ronnie Atchley and wife Judy, and Stanley Atchley, all of Amarillo; sister, Betty Ketchum; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
