W.H. “Walt” Dosher

W.H. “Walt” Dosher, 94, of Amarillo, TX died Sunday, March 22, 2020.

Private graveside services will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Walt was born October 10, 1925, in Farwell, TX to Elmo and Bessie Dosher.  He was a US Navy veteran.  Walt worked for SPS for more than 35 years, retiring as a lineman foreman.  He was the head judge and electrician for many years at Amarillo Speed Bowl.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Dosher; and his second wife, Verna Dosher.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Kautz and husband Ronald, of Decatur, TX; two sons, Danny Dosher and wife Linda, and Walter Dosher and wife Melody, all of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Liz Akin, of Austin, TX; a brother, Kenny Dosher and wife Betty, of Tipton, OK; seven grandchildren, Rhonda, Renee, Deanna, Debbie, Danny, Donna, and Bradley; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

  3. My deepest sympathy to my family with the passing of our relative and my Uncle W.H. My Uncle W.H. always had a good sense of humor and had fun with all the kids at all the family reunions. May the Grace of God Comfort you in this difficult time. We love everyone. I will miss Uncle W.H.
