Virginia Louise Cluck – June 24, 2011

Virginia Louise Cluck, 87, of Amarillo died on Friday, June 24, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Cluck was born on December 20, 1923 to Elizabeth and Braxton Miller.  She was a graduate of Hooker High School in Hooker, Oklahoma.  She was a talented vocalist and won many awards throughout the area.  After high school she attended business school in Amarillo, Texas.
She married Eldon Cluck in 1945.  Together they developed a farming and ranching operation in Moore County during which time they enjoyed success in the quarter horse industry and were the proud owners of many outstanding race horses.  Mrs. Cluck was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and husband.
Survivors include her children, Linda Wilcox and husband Eric of Bluffton, S.C., Elaine Lewis and husband Larry of Amarillo, Lila Cluck of Clarendon and Homer Cluck of Bushland; granddaughters, Bradley Wilcox of Savannah, GA, Kyle Wilcox of Atlanta, GA, Bennett Lewis of Amarillo and a great granddaughter, Jacy Chapman of Amarillo.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at BSA Hospice and suggests memorials to a charity of your choice.

  5. So sorry i will not be able to attend Aunt Lou’s memorial service. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I love each and every one of you and I especially love Aunt Lou.
