DUMAS – Trudy “Nan” Heppel, 69, died Friday, March 11, 2011, in Allen.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel in Dumas. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Trudy was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Blackburn, Okla., to Royce and Jeanette Reamy. She married James Merle Heppel Oct. 24, 1959.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Gerald Reamy and Bill Reamy.
She is survived by two daughters, Carrie McCreary and Willie Hamilton of Allen and Sherri Blue and husband Beau of Dumas; three grandsons, Justin Hailey and wife Papier of Allen, Micheal Blue of Dumas and Braxton Blue of Dumas; a great-grandson, Breygan Blue of Dumas; and siblings, Sylvia, Delores, Lucille, Betty and Royce, all of Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home in Dumas.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
