Troy Ray Anders, 71, of Amarillo, TX died Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2019, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Troy was born February 29, 1948, to David and Agnes Anders, and raised in Muleshoe, TX.  He served in US Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Royce; and a sister, Delinda.

Survivos include his wife, Ferne Anders; two sons, Curtis Anders and wife Piper, and Dave Anders and wife Katrina; a brother, Carl Anders; a sister, Darlyne Lee; and five grandchildren, Kendall, Bailey, Matthew, Truitt, and Tatum.

  1. Troy was my high school sweetheart and we married right after he came home from Vietnam, I will always love him and cherish the memories we had. My heart hurts for his family and I’m so sorry to hear of his passing, may God comfort you all.🙏🙏

  2. We are deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Troy was a great man that I was blessed to have worked with for a number of years. I will never forget him. He made a great impression on my life and the lives of many others. He deeply loved his family and grandchildren especially. Our prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

  3. So sorry to hear of Troy’s passing. Worked with him at the old IBP and Curtis at Bell Helicopter. Was a great guy! Always asking me about Curt at the Pioneer meetings. Will miss his similing face and great wit.

  4. i saw the obituary for Troy in the newspaper, i was a class mate in muleshoe with troy and royce. i was sorry to hear of their passing. i didn” know that troy lived in amarillo, or i would have visited, since i live here too. sincerly jody mills
