Tony Ray Villines, 71, died September 19, 2020, in Amarillo, Texas.

Tony was born on September 3, 1949, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Tony and Betty (Merrill) Villines.  He made his home in Spearman, Texas after graduating from Spearman High School in 1968.

Tony enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and family, classic rock, and was a huge NASCAR fan.

Throughout his life, Tony worked as a mechanic for many companies including:  Baker & Taylor, Energy Industries, and TLC, and he retired from Green Country Equipment (formerly Hansford Implement.)

He is survived by his children, Jason Villines and wife Angela of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Casey Villines and wife Jenifer of Knob Noster, Missouri, and Chelsey Westfall and husband Kirk of Amarillo, Texas; siblings, Kathy Morley, Colleen Burkhammer, and Bob Villines; and his grandchildren, Triston, Dawson, Payton, Analisa, Rosana, Kayleigh, Lexi, Ian, and Kaine.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother and father, and two grandchildren, Maverick and Mavery.

Arrangements are with Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors in Amarillo, TX.  Tony’s life will be celebrated with an informal gathering of friends and family on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. at Palo Duro Lake under the gazebo.  Casual dress is encouraged for those who wish to attend.

  1. Tony was a treasure who did not know he was a treasure. All through high school and beyond, I couldn’t ask for a better, more protective friend. I’m ashamed that I let the years create distance. RIP my friend.
