Steve Winters

Steve Winters, 56, of Amarillo, TX passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020. He was born on August 6, 1963 in Hays, KS. On April 10, 1999, he married Jennifer at Salina Bible Church in Salina, KS.

Memorial services will be held on April 10, 2020, at Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo, TX. More details will be released later. Steve will be laid to rest in Hope, KS at a later time.

Steve was an antique car enthusiast. He loved to collect and restore them. He was a strong foundation, driven by his faith and unwavering love for his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, enjoying twenty-one years of his wife’s baking and long drives. He was often found growing his collection of eBay boxes and Lonestar memorabilia. He loved to cut his grass and watch his grandchildren play. Steve was always there to advise, from cooking to cars to parenting. He is dearly loved and sorely missed.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-one years, Jennifer; children, Wes and wife Krystal, of Amarillo, Angelia and husband Dustin, of Pampa, TX, Beth and husband Tanner, of Bushland, TX, and Emily of the home; father, Butch Robinson; brothers, Stan and Mike; sister, Sandy; mother-in-law, Barbara Bowers; a slew of grandkids, Casey, Rinoa, Hannah, Logan, Braliegh, Amilea, Eli, John, and Maisie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ron Bowers; mom, Patty Robinson; and granddaughter, Klaire Winters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in his honor. Steve was passionate about causes such as Autism Awareness, Disabled Veterans, and St. Jude’s Children’s Research.

  2. This is a very delayed condolence, but sincere and heartfelt nonetheless. Jen, and family, I am so sorry to just now learn of Steve’s passing. He was a one of a kind human being, and I know there will always be a void in your hearts, due to his absence here in Earth. What a joy and comfort to know though that he is “Home” with Jesus. May HIS peace surround you until you are reunited with Steve once again.

  4. Our sympathies, Chuck Wallace and Brett Whitford. I loved talking with Steve about his vintage Chrysler Imperial he drove to Angies house for Dustin’s birthday party. He seemed like a nice man who loved his family.
