Sonja Gladys Clark – March 13, 2012


Sonja Gladys Clark, 70, of Dumas, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Dumas with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.
Sonja was born on July 2, 1941, in Reydon, Oklahoma to Johnnie and Margaret Hughes. She grew up and graduated from Dumas High School. She spent most of her life as a homemaker.  She had also worked at Dumas Butane, at the Plaza, and worked as a teaching assistant in Dumas and Amarillo. She was currently working at United Foods as a food demonstrator as she loved to cook.
Sonja was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, her favorite past time activity was watching her grandchildren participate in activities, she loved working out in public and visiting with people; she was a Christian woman and will greatly be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Hughes.
Survivors include a son, Tom Clark of Amarillo; two daughters, Terri Davis and husband Mike of Dumas and Traci Gabel and husband Cody of Amarillo; a sister, Janet Fletcher and husband P.D. of Amarillo; a brother, Larry Hughes and wife Betsy of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Lyndsi, Alexi, Ashli, and Ridge.
