Rudolph Silva Preciado, 86, of Amarillo, died Monday, October 24, 2011.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mr. Preciado was born on March 5, 1925 in Amarillo, TX to Bernadino and Francisca Preciado. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and had a thirty year career as a bus driver for the City of Amarillo. Mr. Preciado was a proud Democrat and a member of NAACP. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bea Preciado, of Amarillo; sons, Raymond Chavez of El Paso, TX, Manuel Burrola and Rudy Preciado, both of Amarillo; daughters, Balinda Ann Luna and Christina Preciado, both of Amarillo; brothers, Ted Preciado and Gilbert Preciado, both of California; a sister, Juanita Rosas of Illinois; and thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
