Ronnie J. Vessel-July 12, 2011

Ronnie J. Vessel, 64, of Amarillo died on Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Dale Travis, Pastor of Family Life Church, officiating.  Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Ronnie was born on June 10, 1947 in Plainview, Texas to J.T. and Mable Vessels.  He received his perfect and complete healing on July 12, 2011, the day he ascended to be with the Lord.
Ronnie married Shirley Randell on August 4, 1984 in Amarillo.  His passion was home construction and he had most recently worked as Superintendent for Bedwell Construction.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter, who enjoyed grilling for his family.  He was a very loving husband and father.  His most enjoyable role was “Papaw”.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Catherine Merlene Cobble.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Vessel of Amarillo; three daughters, Rebecca Glenette Olivas and husband Gary, Ronda Jean Vessel, Tonya Dawn Hoobler and husband Randy, all of Amarillo; a son, Terry Dean Hull of Amarillo; his siblings, Frances Ann Sessions and husband Jim of Wichita Falls, TX, Norma Gail Pasley of Ada, OK, Kenneth Wayne Vessel and wife Pat of Greenville, TX, Jerry Don Vessels and wife Betty of Gatesville, TX, Sandra Kay Vandivere and husband Danny of Amarillo and Joe Tracy Vessels and wife Sandra of Sulfur, OK; six grandchildren, Matthew Paul Jimenez, Ty Keith Hoobler and wife Kylie, Taylor Wayne Hoobler, Tyler Reese Jackins, Justin Scott Hull, Tucker Dean Hoobler and one great granddaughter, Mariana Lorenza Jimenez.
The family expresses their gratitude to his caregivers at Plum Creek Rehab, Triumph LTACH and Interim Home Health.  A special thank you to the CCU nurses and Texas Tech medical staff at NWTH.
