Robert Glenn "Bob" Costley – May 9, 2011


Robert Glenn “Bob” Costley, 74, of Amarillo died on Monday, May 9, 2011.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Jeff Ponder of First Baptist Church in Bushland, officiating.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mr. Costley was born on July 2, 1936 in Amarillo, Texas to Glenn and Grace Costley.  He married Wanda Love on May 18, 1995.  Mr. Costley had farmed most of his life.  He loved to hunt and to be outdoors.  He was a member of the First Christian Church in Canyon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Virginia Costley.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Costley of Valle De Oro; two sons, Randy Costley of Dallas and Andy Costley of Amarillo; a daughter, Sherie Costley of Sudan, NM; two step daughters, Vickie Heppard of Amarillo and Vanessa Smallwood of Canyon; a step son, Tommy Tucek of Lubbock; two brothers, Calvin Costley and Jerry Costley, both of Amarillo; a sister, Dorothy Gatten of Royce City, TX; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Panhandle Chapter, 1400 Wallace Blvd. Amarillo, TX 79106.

    I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad is a special part of my childhood. When I think of Amarillo, my grandparents, & my folks, I see your parents as well.
    You all have always been a part of fond memories & happiness.

  3. Uncle Bobby was one of the sweetest men I ever knew with a kind beautiful smile. I was blessed to have had him in my life.
