Robert E. (Bob) Ren, 55, of Amarillo, TX passed away peacefully on December 14, 2020 at BSA Hospice of the Southwest.

Bob was born on July 7, 1965 in Rockford, IL to Robert (Bob) and Susan Ren.

Bob was a big Dallas Cowboy fan and tried to never miss a game. He also enjoyed going hunting with his dad and brother.

Bob was employed at Amarillo College where he was a groundskeeper and he later went to work at the Amarillo Civic Center where he helped set up events.

Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Ren; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Leonard and Mr. and Mrs. William Knight; and his great-niece, Emersyn Smothers.

He is survived by his parents, Robert (Bob) and Susan Ren, of Amarillo, TX; his sisters, Lovana Brichacek, of Oskaloosa, IA, and Terri Smothers, of Oskaloosa, IA; his nieces, Sadie Gillam, Josie Brichacek, and Cezlie Weldon; his great- niece, Nebula O’Rand; and his nephews, Dustin, Austin, and Bryson Smothers.

There will not be any services at this time, but there might be a memorial service at a later date.

  1. Lil’ Bob was a good man, he was fun to be around. He would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar. He always had a smile ready and he loved to laugh and pull pranks. I’m going to miss him a great deal. My heart goes out to Bob, Sue, Lavonna, and Terry Sue. I really did love him like a brother.
