Reyes Ruiz, 55, of Amarillo, TX died October 8, 2020.

Burial will be at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Llano Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 11:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Grace Church with Pastor Bill Gehm officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Reyes was born in Seagraves, TX on April 3, 1965, to Rosa and Jose Ruiz. He grew up in Amarillo, TX.

Reyes married his wife, Roberta Borquez, on August 18, 2008.

Reyes worked as an OSHA Inspector and Instructor. He had also worked for ASARCO as a General Mechanic. Reyes was a master carpenter. He was a member of Grace Church.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Ruiz, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Elexia Ruiz, Adalex Ruiz, and Aydenne Ruiz, all of Amarillo, TX; son, Michael Acquisto; brothers, Gus Ruiz and wife Olga, of Amarillo, TX, Joe Albert Ruiz and wife Deann, of Corpus Christi, TX, Marco Ruiz, of Amarillo, TX, and Roy Ruiz and wife Athena, of Amarillo, TX; and sister, Rosemary Quijada, of Trophy Club, TX.

The family will receive friends at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home from 6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M., Monday, October 12, 2020.

  1. Knew Ray and his family my entire life. Will always remember his big brother like attitude and kindness. May the family find comfort knowing he now walks with the lord pain free. Rest in Peace my brother Ray.

  2. I went to school with Rey. I remember he was always so kind. It brings my heart great peace knowing he had a relationship with Jesus Christ. Prayers for Rey’s family. May God bring all of you comfort and peace. In Jesus name. Amen!

  3. I am heartbroken for this family. Rey was such a fun loving man. I had the privilege of meeting him and his family, through my sister/friend, Rosemary. May he rest in peace with his beautiful parents. Rosemary, I love you and will always be here for you.
