Reva Florene Cauthen White, 71, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Llano Mausoleum Chapel with Dallas Stringer officiating.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Reva Florene Cauthen White was born on June 25, 1949 in Dumas, TX, where she was raised. She graduated from Dumas High School in May of 1968. She met her husband, Dale, in 1968 and went on to marry in January 1969. She was a dedicated and loving wife for over 52 yrs.

Reva was an active member of her local non-denominational church, Life Tabernacle. She was a dedicated wife and mother who greatly valued her family.  She was able to pursue her interests as a florist as well as assisting her mother-in-law, Violet White, in children’s clothing retail. She always made sure her daughters had the latest in fashion throughout their lives. She spent many hours commuting to Amarillo multiple times a week for dance lessons for her youngest daughter, Amie, and always encouraged both girls in their interests. She took great enjoyment in gardening with her yards being beautiful examples of her skills. Reva took great joy in her grandchildren and drew immense joy from being involved in their lives. She was always extraordinarily proud of each of her girls and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Esther Cauthen and her sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Eugene Samuels.

She is survived by her husband, Dale, of the home; two daughters, Dana Parson and husband Darrell and Amie Chollett and husband Nick, all of Amarillo; her siblings, Terry Cauthen and wife Carol, Sammy Horton and husband Kenneth, all of Dumas, Donna Cauthen and husband James Garnett of Wenatchee, WA and Lisa Underwood and husband Wayne of Amarillo; and four grandchildren, Ryan Kellerman, Gabriel Anderson and wife Makenzie, Myah Chollett, and Quinn Chollett.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the funeral home.

  1. I was deeply saddened to hear of Mrs. White’s passing. She was always so sweet and I know she will be missed.

  2. I loved my cousin Reva! Growing up I thought she was the prettiest girl I had ever seen! I never saw her that she didn’t have a smile on her face! She will be missed. Prayers are for the family because Reva is having the best time with all her family in heaven!!!
