  1. DaLena,
Words cannot express the pain I feel for your loss. I knew Trey in highschool and was good friends with him especially his senior year. He had such a wonderful smile and he always knew how to make people feel better. I know your time with him was to short, and for that I am truly sorry. I pray that you will find strength and continue to see Trey’s wonderful smile all around. I will keep you always in my thoughts and prayers, and am again so sorry for your loss.
    With much love,
    Melina & Family.

I went to Medic school with Trey, I doubt you remember me but for the short time I knew Trey we spent most of the 16 weeks together! He is an amazing person, we are all very lucky to have met such a genuine person.
Y’all (Trey taught me the proper way to use that word) will be in our prayers.

  3. I went to airborne school with Trey; I knew him very well and consider myself blessed to have known him. He was an amazing individual as well as soldier and my heart goes out to his family and friends.
He was an amazing friend, always willing to lend an ear when you just needed someone to listen…
I will never forget my first jump at airborne school with him as he sat across from me on the bird, he gave me one of his smiles, looked at me…and told me how he’d meet me on the drop zone…which he did!
He inspired to me to go after my dreams of becoming an officer so that he could one day salute me, I will continue to pursue those dreams in his memory.
Again, my sincere condolences go out to his family…you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. Dear DaLena and Trey’s family-
We are so sad to hear of Trey’s death. Trey was a positive role model for our children, Sam & Elizabeth, in the 2007 & 2008 LSB Nutcracker productions. Trey taught Sam that it’s o.k. to dance and still be a “cool” boy. We have such sweet memories of Trey & DaLena as S&E’s “parents” in the “gold family” in the party scene those years. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we send our heartfelt sympathy to you.
Susan & Brad Burks (& Sam, Elizabeth, & Ben)

  7. Our heartfelt sympathy to all families. May Trey rest in the arms of the “Risen Saviour”. Many thanks for his service to all of his fellow Americans! God Bless All – The Buchanans
