Phyllis Elaine LaRue, 56, of Dumas died on Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Hunt United Memorial Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Hight officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.
Mrs. LaRue was born on January 21, 1956 in Dumas, Texas to Apel and Dorothy Baldwin. She married David LaRue on May 27, 1983 in Amarillo. Mrs. LaRue was a registered nurse, who spent over thirty years in the home health care industry bringing comfort and compassion to others in their homes. Throughout her battle with cancer, as with every other aspect of her life, she was an example of faith, poise and grace to all around her. She was a lifetime member of Hunt Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, David LaRue of the home; two sons, Joseph S. LaRue and Jason T. LaRue, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Logan E. Bartlett of Amarillo; a brother, Clifton Baldwin of Sanford and nine grandsons.
