Pete Gonzalez, 41, of Amarillo, TX passed away September 1, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 4, 2020, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Pete was born in Amarillo, TX on May 1, 1979, to Bernardino and Elizama Gonzalez. He grew up in Amarillo, TX. Pete had worked in construction. He loved to play video games with his son and nephews and loved the Miami Hurricanes. Pete was very giving and loved helping others.

Pete married Shelley Wyckoff in Amarillo, TX on March 26, 1999.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Luzmila Gonzalez.

Survivors include his wife, Shelley Gonzalez, of Amarillo, TX; son, Sebastian Hurricane Gonzalez, of Amarillo, TX; parents, Bernardino and Elizama Gonzalez, of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Luciano Gonzalez and wife JoAnn, Cleveland, TX, Leo Gonzalez and wife Michelle, of Amarillo, TX, and J. R. Gonzalez and wife Christina, of Amarillo, TX; sisters, Lucelda Payan and husband Lupe, Camargo, Mexico, and Lorena Vidaurri and husband Victor, of Amarillo, TX; and parents-in-law, Henry Wyckoff and wife Dinah, of Amarillo, TX.

  3. The journey to God is over, Pete are at perfect peace. Help your family and friend feel your joy and thanksgiving. A Mass will be said at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church here in Amarillo for the repose of Pete’s soul and for consolation of the family. Much loved. Prayers.

  4. My heart hurts so bad. Losing another brother from our family. Pete my brother you will be missed but never forgotten. Sitting up in the xlouds watching us now you and Barrett Jones can now see everyone. Love you!!!
