Paul Edward Pinter, 74, of Amarillo died on Sunday, May 13, 2012.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Pinter was born on July 6, 1937 in Abbott, Texas to Alfons and Sydney Pinter. He graduated from Abbott High School in 1955 and then attended North Texas State University. He went to work for General Tire and Rubber in Waco, Texas in 1959. Mr. Pinter married Betty Dossey in Abbott in 1961. He went to work for Continental Carbon Company in 1965 in Houston. In 1966, he transferred to Sydney, Australia to assist opening a Carbon Black Plant there. From there he moved to Borger and began working for J.M. Huber Corp. in Quality Control and became manager of technical service. Mr. Pinter began work in real estate in 1978, leaving Huber in 1980 to make real estate his full time job, where he worked till his death.
Mr. Pinter was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, with many hours spent at Lake Meredith, hunting and boating. He spent many hours on the Canadian River on motorcycles with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Pinter, of the home and a son, Carl Pinter of Amarillo.
