Patsy Green "Granny"

Patsy Green “Granny”, 64, of Amarillo died on Friday, March 25, 2011.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Pastor Billy Snider, San Jacinto Assembly of God, officiating.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Patsy was born on September 26, 1946 in Bowie, Texas to J. B. and Inez Laurent.  She attended Plainview High School and met and married Jerry Green in 1962.  She lived in Plainview and worked for Belmar Furniture for many years.  After moving to Amarillo, she worked in the family business.  Patsy loved going to play bingo and watch after her grandkids.  She loved watching football and attending her families sporting events.  She loved life to the fullest and everyone she met loved her.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Green, her husband, Jerry Green and a son-in-law, Robert Box.
Survivors include three daughters, Joanna Green of Amarillo, Pandora Box of Lubbock and Lona Thompson and husband Rayland of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Robin Briggs and husband Shad, Ashley Box, Robert Box, Randy Box and fiancé Courtney Coble, Cody Thompson, all of Amarillo; her great-grandchild, Addison Box; six brothers; and a sister, Sue Hunt.

  1. Pandora, I just learned of your precious mother’s passing today. Hopefully, you are still able to view condolences on this site a year later. I am so very sorry to hear of your great loss! I know just how much you loved and treasured your mom. I pray that time has healed a lot of pain for you and you are left with only good memories. God bless and keep you.

  2. Oh Jonna Pandora & Lona! My heart is broken!Your mom & dad were the best! They had such big hearts! Bosti & i were talking about some of the stuff they did or said! I had so much fun!!! You know all of the words in the world can’t take away the pain in ya’lls HEARTS!!!!!!!! But know this i well never forget ya’ll!! I love each and everyone one!! GOOD TIMES…. love brenda & bosti… Plus tell all of ya’lls kids hi :o}

    I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother.I just found out today and I am so sad.I loved and adored Pasty and will remember such good times and many many laughs.She was absolutely the best and I know how much you will miss her.May God’s love guide you all through this time. My heart and prayers are with you.Pasty will always be in all our hearts.

    It was with a great sense of loss when I heard of Patsy’s death.
    I wanted to let you know that you have our greatest sympathy, and our heart’s are truly saddened.
    Patsy was more than just a wonderful person; she was always so kind and I will always have great memories of Patsy
    growing up she was like my second Mother..
    And, we know that her passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew her.
    Patsy will always remain within our hearts, May God give you strength.

  9. Willis And I send our thoughts and prayers to you all. We have some fond memories of Pasty. She really a Bingo Players. Those was the good old days. If there is Bingo game going on in Heaven know she will be there. Sorry we can’t come to service but I am having surgery in morning. Pandora give us a call some time. Would love to hear from you.
