Pantelis “Perry/Jerry” Gerakines 76 passed away on March 9th, 2019 at the Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home in Amarillo, TX.
 
He was born to parents Kyriakos and Lemo Gerakines on August 25th, 1942 in Lowell, MA. Perry has a large Greek family of 11 siblings: Steven, Charles, Alice, Marilyn, Pauline, George, John, Rose, Kereakos, Mary, and James along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
 
Perry had a passion for baseball and was a great player and pitcher. After graduating high school in Lowell, he joined the USAF for a 23-year career. Perry was admired dearly by his entire family, friends, and military buddies.
 
He married Gloria Ann Cambron in 1965 and widowed in 1987. They had 3 children; daughter Toni Gerakines of Dalhart, TX. (grandchildren; Brock and Hector Reyna), daughter Julie Gerakines of Petrolia, TX. (grandchildren Clinton, Colt, and Chandler), and son Brian Gerakines of Wichita Falls, TX.
 
Jerry married Ala Faye Cribb in 1997 and widowed in 2015. He had 6 step-children; Billy, Sam, Melissa, Angela, Dexter, Jason, their spouses, and 15 grandchildren.
 
Jerry loved the outdoors and golf. You could always find him outside piddling in the yard. He will be missed dearly.
 
There will be a private family burial in New Hampshire at a later time.

  1. Toni and Families; my sincere condolences to all. This fine man served his family and our country and is to he admired. It was an honor to meet Mr. Gerakines when he was living with the amazing TONI at Dalhart, TX. What a beautiful labor of love to care for an aging parent! Toni blessed my daughters life by being a lovely neighbor and friend to her as well. May God richly bless this American HERO, his daughter, and family members as well during this time of loss❤️ KMires

  3. He was a much loved ‘Pop-Pop’ by my children and myself, and we will forever cherish the memories made together with him. We thank God for our time with him, and we offer our deepest condolences to his children, grandchildren, and all of his siblings, and extended family members during our time of bereavement.
