Oma Marie Mackey Penn-June 27, 2011

Oma Marie Mackey Penn, 90, of Amarillo, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 27, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Llano Cemetery with Ray Milhoan, Pastor at Country Church, officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Oma was born on November 3, 1920 to Jackson and Carrie Mackey in McClain County, Oklahoma.  She was married to Curtis Penn on June 18, 1941 in Norman, Oklahoma and had one child.  Oma lived in Amarillo for the past fifty years.  She owned Globe Tailor Cleaners for many years.  She worked as a seamstress for Brent’s, J.D. Morgan and Suspenders.  In later years, she continued doing alterations from her home.  Oma loved life and loved people.  Most of all, she loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, her daughter, Linda Wimsatt, son-in-law, Art Wimsatt, grandson, Tom Wimsatt, her brother and six sisters.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Lynette Bolton, her great grandchildren, Karri Bolton, Darian Bolton and Conner Bolton, all of Amarillo, and Ty Bolton of Canyon and many nieces and nephews.
