  2. My fondest memories of this giving cowboy, Veteran, and wise friend are the times he came to our home in the country. Some days we sat on the front porch sharing military memories, and others were swapping stories about horses and good friends. Sam was the pallbearer for my daddy Gene. He always left you with a smile, firm handshake to my boys, and kind words with a hug to my momma Rosie. We will truly miss him, along with those one of a kind authentic cowboys! I look forward to a dance in heaven with my friend… Sam loved his family and especially his grandkids! Prayers our dear Lord, comforts his beautiful family.
