Neva L. Myers Kelch – March 6, 2012


Neva L. Myers Kelch, 86, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2012 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Rev. Joe Taylor of Emmanuel Church of Amarillo officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Neva was born Sept. 23, 1925 in Bay City to Richard Hubert Legg and Carrie Ethel Legg.  She married John Richard Myers, Jr. on Dec. 24, 1945 in Bay City.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved pink, butterflies, Vince Gill, and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; second husband, Enos H. Kelch; three brothers; and a nephew.

Survivors include her three daughters, Barbara Crabb and husband Don, Suzi Fleetwood, both of Amarillo, and Lynda Couch of Dallas; two sons, John Richard III and wife Diane of Boerne, and Doug Myers of Amarillo.  She also had eight grandchildren, Daniel and Andrea Couch, Cristi and Rich Fleetwood, Sarah and Vanessa Myers, John and Carrie Crabb; and three great-grandchildren, Julien Conrad and Elodie Neva Couch, and Jayde Alexis Crabb.  Her three surviving sisters are Norma McDonald and husband Gene, Margie Quinn and husband Rex, and Billie Joye Suffling, all of Bay City; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or Jan Werner Adult Day Care at 3108 South Fillmore, Amarillo, TX 79110.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the funeral home.
