Mo was born June 23, 1952, in Amarillo, TX, to Manford “Pill” and Mamie Young Morgan. Mo married Diane Clements on June 28, 1974. He was a God-fearing man who fiercely loved and protected his wife, sons, and family.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; his son, Jay and wife DaLinda, their children, Trinity, Brian, Jaxon, and TaeLynn of Canyon, TX; his son, Joshua of Amarillo, TX; his brother, Phillip and wife Joyce of Amarillo, TX; sister, Julia Morin of Amarillo, TX; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Rick Morin.

Mo grew up and attended school in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Amarillo High School and continued his education by earning his Associates’s degree from Amarillo College and his journeyman’s certification as an electrician. He started his employment with Pantex in 1977 and retired in 1997. His retirement was short as he began designing kitchens for Pride Home Center and Home Depot from 1998-2013. Mo used his electrical knowledge and skill to inspect fire systems for FireHawk, while utilizing his persuasive skills to write advertisements for Cumulus radio.

Mo loved to meet, talk to, and help others. His passion for helping others and his love for people and his Lord led to him being ordained as a deacon at Second Baptist Church in Amarillo where he served for many years. His heart for helping others also led to his being elected to serve on the River Road ISD School Board. Mo also had a passion for collecting classic cars, especially Thunderbirds. He joined the High Plains thunderbird Club because he appreciated the friendships and the philanthropic focus of the club.

The family requests that memorials be sent to Martha’s Home via High Plains Thunderbird Club, P.O. Box 32592, Amarillo, TX, 79120. Please make the checks out to Martha’s Home.
