Mark Alan Crabtree, 58, of Amarillo, died Monday, December 26, 2011.
A private burial service will be at Llano Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Deckard, associate pastor of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mark was born January 19, 1953, in Amarillo to Jack Loyd and Martha Van Shaw Crabtree. He graduated from Amarillo High School, attended Amarillo College and graduated from West Texas A&M University. He worked for Republic Insurance Company and SPS/Excel.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.N. Crabtree of Dallas and Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Van Shaw of Amarillo.
Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Crabtree, of Amarillo; his mother, Martha Babb of Amarillo; two brothers, Thomas Scott Crabtree and Dr. Robert Norwood Crabtree, both of Amarillo; and a sister, Tula Crabtree Cox and husband Archie of Austin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Patsy’s Place, P.O. Box 19985, Amarillo, TX 79114; or to a charitable organization of your choice.
