Marie B. Watson – January 30, 2012

Marie Watson, 92, of Dumas, died Monday, January 30, 2012.  Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, 401 Binkley St., with Rev. John Sanders, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 500 N. Maddox.
Marie was born on January 23, 1920 in Quinlin, Texas to Phelan and Hettie Bibby.  She taught school in Dumas for many years until retiring in 1980.  She loved to play bridge and was a life master duplicate bridge player.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar “Red” Watson.
Marie is survived by her son, Billly Ray Watson of Dumas; a daughter, Sammie Jo Adams of Durant, Ok; a brother, Merrell Bibby of Amarillo; a sister, Clotine Pace of Fritch; three grandchildren, Joe Crutcher of Dumas, Kim Watson of Corinth, Texas, Shelby Hinson of Austin; and three great grandchildren.
